GOLF ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

February 9, 2011

The meeting was called to order at 3:30 pm. Present were Dennis Igoe, Bob Mazzei, Steve Naples, Paul Squeri, Monica DeCicco, Jim Inzalaco, Mike Tardogno, and Ryan Phelps         and Brian O’Hare from Billy Casper Golf.

The group present had just finished a meeting with the candidate for head professional, Mr. Jeffrey Bebbino, and all expressed how pleased they were with his credentials and interview.

Dennis started the meeting by confirming the date of the General Golf Meeting for the community which will be Wed. March 9th at 7 pm. Two notices and announcements will go out to the community. The agenda and procedure for the meeting was discussed.

Dennis wants to encourage the new Head Pro to use the Chelsea system to communicate with the golfers since they use Chelsea regularly. The bulletin boards in the hallway behind the pro shop will also continue to be used.

Dennis stated that the next GAC meeting will be Wed. March 2nd at 3 pm, and thereafter the meetings will be held the first Thursday of the month at 3 pm. Monica and Dennis are planning to meet with Diane Agamie (president of the Womens Golf Association) in the near future to discuss the forthcoming golf season.

Dennis presented his plan to encourage members to play golf after 3pm. Details were reviewed with the handouts and a discussion pursued. He requested that all members think about any new ideas to promote late day golf and present to the group at later meetings.

Dennis gave Jim Inzalaco, the greens committee representative a list that he had made with items that he thought needed attention on the different golf holes and Bob said he had a list and would also give it to Jim.

The tournament schedule was reviewed and Brian from Billy Casper Golf commented that he was surprised to see a lack of tournaments scheduled in September and October. A discussion followed as to why this may be and perhaps this will change when Tom and the Head Pro meet to finalize the schedule.

The adopt a hole program was explained to the Billy Casper reps and will be continued this year. .

The meeting was adjourned at 6 :20 pm.
